ELECTROLYTE STABLE OILS
Electrolyte stable oils are widely used in wet-end processes. Pickle and re-chroming requires high salt stability to avoid precipitation. Adding this product in an early stage of the leather (re)-tanning process impacts greatly the characteristics of the crust.
High SO3 containing fatliquors are commonly used for this purpose, however many other additives are needed to optimize the performance.
Alters process produces a low SO3 product but together with other ingredients, high salt stability is accomplished. Product can be made at 120 degrees Celsius (248 F) in 5 hours.
